Nov 30th 2005

Here goes Nov too. Its been more than 2 months since I came to this place. If I look back, it does not look like that at all. Time just flies..

Lots of work in office is keeping me busy these days. Not that I am going home late, but still whatever time I am in office, its totally packed. And then back at home too, pretty occupied. Solstice and Poseidon are approaching. We (SFA) are planning to take part in Carnival. We would be taking care of few game stalls. waao.. Looking forward to that. Lets see.. Have to plan a lot for the same, over the coming weekend.

A new spouses has joined our SV. Cool.... She has the same inhibitions, which I had when I joined in. But I am sure, she will also get over all of them soon and would become a part of our large family :-).

There are a lot of other things being done / planned these days, like our inconvenience store is finally heading towards being a convenience store .. he he he.. I hope future batches will enjoy all of it, Counseling services arranged for a positive parenting session for all spouses.

Yeah.. This post would be incomplete if I don't write anything about the goof-up which I did day before yesterday. One of our friends has her b'day today and as per our custom, we planned to have the cake cutting ceremony. I had already placed an order for a cake for 29th night a few days back itself. I don't know what happened to me, I called up our cafe on 28th to confirm if they are preparing the cake. The person said "we will". And I was happy till 3.00 pm, when R pointed out that the B'day is on 30th. After reading R's mail, I said to myself, yes her B'day is on 30th, that’s why I have ordered the cake today, where lies the confusion or am i missing something. I checked my calendar and was like Oooooooooooooooooo Nooooooooooooooooooooooo............... How can I do such a mistake. Today is 28th and not 29th....... we called up cafe and they refused to sell / cancel that order. In the evening, I spoke to the manager and he agreed. Last night we got our order, but I didn't ask if they are giving me the same cake or they managed to sell that off. Whatever done is now done. Lesson learnt.. be active but never be hyper active :-))).. he he he.....

I attended one of the speaker series arranged by BTC club yesterday (my first). Initially I saw all students walking towards the Lecture Theater and was hesitant to enter the room, but when I saw a known face approaching (though student), I was happy. The talk was good. I asked D to attend too, but she got caught up in something else and could not attend the same.

Mez having fun and hope u too.... working too.. not just fun okay ;)
Chalo enough for now.. will catch u all later :-).....

All the best for your exams. Be it in any form - Timed or take home.

Smiles

Booo Hoooooooooo Hooooooooooo

I am still in office. Came in early today because I had to go home early. Had to accompany S2 to the market, but see my condition I am still hanging arnd in office. I had to leave office at 5, however some urgent work came up which had to be finished today itself. Called up S2 in her office but she had already started. I ran to my gate and told S2 to get down and we can go tomm. But tomm was not possible for her, hence she had to go alone. Sorry S2. I am very sorry yaar. I am still in office waiting for teh confirmation of the work which I did just now.

I played a lot of baadi yesterday almost after a decade. And I played for long too (1.5 hrs) and my body is aching like hell today. All the parts seem to be paining. Sab kuch gadbad ek saath hi hoti hai yahan par. I had plans to play today too to maintain continuity but ab nahi lagta.....

Chalo finally me is leaving home now.. Have to cook also :-((

Poor me.............

Bored

Its very boring these days at home. Just sitting in front of the TV and watching the same for hours and hours together. Was planning to go to Bangalore this weekend, but I have cancelled the program now. Probably will go shopping over the weekend and buy somethings. Lets see.. Sometimes I plan a lot but fail to do anything at all. he he he.. Me Lazy chap ;)

As for the students, the days are very hectic with the end term approaching and a lot of assignments too to make things worse.

There was a movie outing planned this weekend but even that is cancelled now, as the only show timings were 10:30 pm which is very late.

The weekend that went (Nov 12-13'05)

We had the zoo outing and the children's day celebration this weekend at campus. The event was rescheduled at the last moment because mom's wanted their husband's also to join them at the event. I am not against the rescheduling as such but mom's should have thought over beforehand itself. There was no need for such a last minute change. Some people had to change their plans because of this rescheduling. And to be frank, it was an awkward situation for anyone who would have to speak & justify everyone.

The kids@campus were at their best. U know when I saw the kids n their mom's during the fancy dress, for a few seconds I also had the wish kaash aaj main bhi stage par hoti apnae kido kae saath ;)...

It was such a fun watching these small cute little kids performing. Everyone was looking too good.

I could not go to get the grocery over the weekend. Will see if I can manage the whole week so else I will go out and get something.

Hubby is not feeling well and is having cold and fever. And this disease transmits fast and hence I am also under its influence :-((...

Oh yaa.. This blog would be incomplete if I do not write anything about the Saturday night party arranged by A in SV1. My BIL who was on campus that day with us wanted to see & enjoy one of the ISB parties. Poor fellow waited till midnight (although the scheduled start time was 10:00 pm) but no one has turned up till then. We thought the party is going to be a BIG flop. This could also have been because students had a lot of assignments. However, as soon as we came back after dropping my BIL, we saw that the lawn was crowded and people had come and the party was ON. Hubby didn't join the party as he was down with fever. He went to sleep. I danced a lot & had loads of fun. I came to my room at 2:00 am to find hubby already sleeping. I heard the next morning that the party continued till 5:00 am.

Finally the party turned out to be a BIG SUCCESS. Thanks to all the organizers.

Yahoooooooooo

I finally finished reading the novel "The Prodigal Daughter"last night. It took me almost 2 mnths to finish the same.. BAD NA..... hmmmmm
These days somehow I don't feel like cooking at home at all. The whole of this week, I have been trying not to cook anything. Good holiday isn't it. But aaj to ghar jaa kar kuch cook karoongi.. aisae kaisae roj roj chutti....
I was unable to wake up today for office. Hubby darling tried waking me up a lot of times (daekho aaj suraj kahan sae nikala hai, he trying to wake me up) but I was like nahi 10 mins more please. I kept on doing this for long when it reached the threshold and I had to wake up finally.
Students are very busy these days with a lot of assignments, but at the same time, there are a lot of parties / events happening these days.
Di might be joining us for the new year now... cool na....

Nov 9, 2005

A lot of events lined up in the near future. The list in its chronological order is –
  • Zoo Outing (For kids)
  • Children’s Day
  • ISB Leadership Summit
  • Solstice 2005
  • Poseidon 2005

Lot of preparations going on, these days on the campus. SFA is involved in Zoo Outing (For kids), Children’s day and Solstice.

On a different note, We are having a welcome party for one of the spouses and their new baby today.

The students are very busy these das with a lot of assignments and we hardly see them. The atrium seems to be full at all times.

Last night, I was not in a mood to cook. We went to the Dining Hall and didn't find anything good. Then, we went to the cafe and only sandwitches were left day and neither of us wanted to have that too. Disappointedly we came back home and I HAD TO COOK :((. what a SAD day at times. Our car is down these days. My sweet hubby darling left the headlights ON and the battery went down. So, these days we can't even go out anywhere. Commuting through an auto is simply not possible. The auto stand in front of ISB has monopoly and hence they charge extra.

ISB has changed my schedule also

It was a wonderful party last evening. We danced, sang, cracked jokes and teased each other . It was fun. Chalo the long weekend ended with a good ending.

ISB has changed my daily routine in terms of sleep. I was a believer of early to bed early to rise, however this is no longer true for me. Last night, I thought whatever it be.. I will sleep at 11. I went to bed at 11 sharp. But I was awake till arnd 1:30 or 2:00. I have gotten into the habit of late to bed and late to rise. And above all in office days when I have to get up early, it seems like a punishment. I was telling hubby, I want to see the morning sun of ISB. I hope I am able to see it before I leave this place.

So, its not just the students their spouses also slog here…So, its all about slogging here.

Climate here@hyd is changing and it’s a little cold now-a-days.

Nov 5, 2005

Seems like time is flying and just the thought of moving out of this community makes me feel nostalgic. How are we gonna manage outside this city? There are a lot of events lined up in the near future. Things are very hectic these days. All the chutti from the office go and I don’t even realize how? Something or the other keeps on the happening. ISB (Students of Co of 2006) are standing out in a lot of b-school events. The details have already been put up in a lot of student blogs. This being a long weekend, I am watching DVDs. I was never addicted to English movies, but this place has really made me appreciate and like them. SFA has become famous in its event management and we are getting involved in more and more. After all, we are an integral part of the student community ;).The 2 events lined up as of now are – Zoo Outing for kids and Children’s Day celebration. The pressure at the ISB is slowly building up as the placements are nearing. Time just flies and these people are now running at the mid-term of Term5.

C u all later..:-)
