Latest news from my side

I am in Hyderabad. Settling still. Living out; after a luxurious stay at ISB is very difficult. Still struggling with things. Catching up with my ISB friends and missing all of them more n more with every passing day.
I visited the campus a couple of times, but it doesn't seem to be the same old place with new faces around. Won't be able to make for the ISB Hyd Alumni reunion scheduled for this weekend.

It gives me immense pleasure to see some people really wait for me to post here.
will try to blog now as much as I can.

Christmas Day celebrations @ISB

The Christmas day celebration was marked by students singing Carols and kids performing a play. On 24th night, the Christmas tree was decorated too. The lawns of SV2 looked amazing with all the decorations.
I missed the event as my BIL had come over and we went out with him. However, I have no doubts that this would have been another successful event added in the history of Life@ISB. The best part of this celebration was kids received candies in front of their house on 25th morning. This was something which was surprising and took everyone aghast. It was such an innovative idea. I am sure the kids n their parents will never be able to forget this. The Santa aunties went around on 24th night putting goodies at the doorsteps. Hats Off to the Santa aunties. Commendable job done.
As this wonderful year (2005) is nearing its end, I am sure it has given all of us some life long memories. I will try to summarize the events of this year (SFA) in my coming post.

Last few days

Its been few days since I wrote, so here I am. Its quite hectic these days and I am struggling with balancing things.

SFA is planning big time for a lot of activities in the remaining 3 mnths. Some of the events being planned are –
• Christmas Day
• New Year Movie Screening
• Sports Fest
• Lohri
• Ramuji Film City Outing etc etc…

The list is really long. Don’t u feel J.. :-))) :-)))…

I am regular at my exercising these days; I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Lots of families, have their parents visiting these days. Vacation time at its best :-)). This has even led to shortage of extra beddings and almost all of them are struggling for extra mattress. There are no extra blankets either. I think the housekeeping should increase their inventory.

For the students, they have their end terms staring 2nd or 3rd Jan. The placement breeze has started flowing in from all directions and students are getting geared up /ready for the placement storm which is to hit the campus in mid Feb.

Weekend of 17-18' 2005

Occupied with work@office these days.

Last weekend was simply superb. We (me and hubby) decided to have a reunion with his college friends who are working in Hyderabad. I called them over the week and we decided to meet up and at our place and go for a party on Saturday. Saturday being working for me, I could not prepare anything at home and ended up getting some stuff from the café at the last moment. That too, when they came home, the phone calls started pouring in from all over. All the calls were for me. I was juggling from one room to another. They sat at our place for some 30 mins, out of which I could hardly sit with them for 10 mins. Hubby was getting a little annoyed but I couldn’t help much. We went arnd the campus and showed them around. There were 2 of his friends with their wives. I have met one earlier but was meeting the other (obviously his wife too) for the first time.

We all along with a few other friends from campus went for a party. My BIL had arranged passes for this party. The party was simply awesome. We had planned to be back by 10.30, however we actually came back at midnight. By this time, his friends were getting too late and could not join us for the party @ISB. Anywayz, this was one of the memorable evenings so far. We plan to have many such occasions in the future now.

Sunday was okay too. Sleepy. Had to finish a lot of reading, however, could not. I am just getting scared with every passing day. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Came back from a meeting just now where a person commented, reading 150 pages in a day is nothing. I was like “AAhhhh”. I think I need to forget about parties for sometime.

Weekend that went

Hmmm. Your first question after my last post would now be.. Did I booze a lot on Sat night….Noooooooooooooo………..Somehow I feel boozing is not meant for me. I tried a few sips of Rum though, but that was it. The Carnival was good. Our estimation on making arrangements went hay-wired and till 4 we were not ready. We didn’t have the empty cans for our game. So, we purchased a few cans then and there & asked people to return us the empty cans ASAP, so that we can start our game. It was fun. At night we had the “Bhangra Knights”. Over-all it was a nice day.
My village people and hubby surprised me with a cake cutting at 10.00pm itself on Saturday. I was kindaa expecting a cake cutting from my friends on Sunday morning / evening, but on Saturday nnaaaaaaaaaaa…. It was good. We had 2 cakes. One brought by hubby and the other by my friends.
After 2 hectic days and nights, I spent the Sunday relaxing at home. I sat in the sun, slept, watched a DVD and had a great relaxing weekend after a long time (at least that what I felt).
Lot of people say that our SV is a happening place these days. It feels so good to hear that. When I came in around 2 months back, I heard people saying, our SV is the dull of all other SV’s, but now it’s the reverse. Thanks to the last couple of parties which happened here.. he he he….

Party: Arabian Nights

Last night was a blast@ISB. Till 10pm last night, we were busy preparing our banners for Carnival scheduled for today. We went to the party at 12.00 midnight and danced. I wanted to try booze from quite sometime now. Asked hubby last night and he was like “NO”. However, a friend of mine supported me. I had some beer, tried hooka and in the last when I told hubby, I had a lit bit of Vodka too. But you know I didn’t loose myself. I want to loosen up and go out of control for once.

Planning to booze tonight too… he he he. Seems like me has gonna piyakadd J

Dec 9, 2005

Went for shopping on Tuesday, but it was a total waste of time and energy. I didn’t find anything good anywhere. We went to a couple of places, however, I liked only costly items everywhere. booo hooo  

There are 2 parties lined up over the coming weekend. Cool.. ….
Days are quite hectic these days, Office, some heath exercises / programs to attend to, dinner, walk and then off to sleep at around 1.30 or 2.00 and then back to the routine around 7.00 again … But I am enjoying it….sometimes it gets tiring but otherwise its okay. My body parts pain these days because of these exercises. One day I had cramps in my stomach, the other day my legs were aching and yet another day something else starts paining. Seems like never ending ;)

Last night was BAD, I was coughing like hell. I tried not to wake up hubby for quite sometime. But then it was getting worse with every passing moment. Finally I woke him up. He is really a great person when it comes to all this. He didn’t say anything and woke up instantly. He tried his best to provide some relief to me. If I would have been at his place, I know I would started like, kaha hai naa yeah mat kiya karo who mat kiya karo.. suntae kab ho.. bhugto ab. Hubby knows this attitude of mine very well. He often comments, in future whenever your kid will hurt himself, instead of consoling him you will start shouting at him and he will forget the pain and will get scared of mumma’s daant.
I am fine now.

My health these days is not that great. The allergy has again surfaced up. Initially when I relocated to Hyd, I was fine for a few months and hence I thought that this place has suited me. But NO, that was just a misconception. It is troubling me again. Please save me from this allergy. Last night’s incident was also because of the same.

Today, we have to go to buy some stuff for solstice for our stalls.

We have a party tonight and the theme is “Arabian Nights”…. Hmmmm.. sounds exciting. … isn’t it……
